Welcome to our world!

My chinese name is Yin Ling and baby Minori's unofficial middle name is Yen. Both Yin and Yen mean swallow (as in the bird) in chinese. The same swallows that migrate to Malaysia in winter to escape the cold return to Japan when the weather begins to warm up. Like the swallows here, together with daddy, we make our trips between the two countries. Isn't it nice to have two places we can call home?

Tomorrow

Our copy of Annie the movie DVD arrived last week from Amazon Japan and eversince M insists on a daily dose of "eh-neeey." We don't let her watch the whole movie all the time, just a few minutes of her favorite parts. She's starting to sing along... "tomorrow tomorrow... ah yuv yah... ...morow... (silence) ...a-way..."

My secret wish? M grows up to audition for the Japanese version of the musical. She's already such a drama queen at 18 months old, she'll make a great (even funny) Annie.

I really really hope she'll get to play Annie! Imran's not a fan of musical but we will definitely go to watch her! :)
