A week after her first birthday, a tooth finally decides to show up in M's lower gum. Just one, not two, tooth. We still can't get a good photo of a smile that shows that tooth so no photo with this blog... sorry!

My chinese name is Yin Ling and baby Minori's unofficial middle name is Yen. Both Yin and Yen mean swallow (as in the bird) in chinese. The same swallows that migrate to Malaysia in winter to escape the cold return to Japan when the weather begins to warm up. Like the swallows here, together with daddy, we make our trips between the two countries. Isn't it nice to have two places we can call home?

No wonder she has been irritable the last few days. She is having teething problems!
Actually we were quite happy with her not having teeth for so long... no need to clean/brush and she can just go to sleep after snacking!
